Obviously it's cheaper to book a bigger room, so if you can enough people on the message board who don't snore too loud, try and organise some savings.
www.gwns.co.uk - a link to cheap hotels in Glasgow (and hotels and B+B's in general). Has plenty of hotels for around £29 a night.
Charing Cross Guest House - Some cheap rooms, just on the edge of the city centre, about 10 mins from Tut's. Rooms are £44 for a double, per night, so £22 each person.
Mclay's B&B - Again, cheap rooms (£44 for a double room per night), on the edge of the city centre.
Find some floorspace
There's a lot of boarders who live in Glasgow, some might have a floor where you can sleep. Best way to do this, if you don't know anyone in person, is to keep an eye on the board for offers. Some people will no doubt be after spare tickets, in exchange for a sofa to sleep on. If you are lucky/unlucky enough to bump into a boarder from glasgow, with a few square feet of floor not covered in clothes/rubbish, then try to get in their good books. Mine's a pint of bitter.

Hah. Not anymore. :)
You need to come by and see the new place, btw.
Some of the hotels in Glasgow are distinctly ropey - make sure you get a review first...

likewise with my flat chris. i move back up on saturday, so i'll be around.
and to anyone booking a hostel, ask one of the glasgow people about the area it's in. you don't want to end up in a no go zone after dark. it's like belfast lite in some parts.
