T in the Park, Balado Kinross

The band make their fifth appearance at TITP? (As the article on RCT-Music shows...

By all accounts this seems to have been one of the most highly regarded T In The Parks for a long time, with everyone from John Q Ned up to the mighty Edith Bowman (looking a tad sozzled on the backstage footage) claiming it was one of the best ever...

...the festival got a 5 star write up in The Times on the Monday afterwards.

Anyway, the Biff seem to have a good crowd despite slipping down the bill slightly from last year, with the blazing sunshine only adding to the feelgood factor. Result.

Setlist:
Glitter and Trauma
Semi-mental (new song)
Justboy
My Recovery Injection
Eradicate The Doubt
All the Way Down Ch1/Prologue
57

57 - possibly the ultimate festival song?

The band also released a new set of T-shirts for this years festival, of which I am exceedingly jealous. If there any left after the shows, then they'll be available on the band's online shop , which you should visit lots. Yes. :) Quote of the day, overheard at the merch desk undoubtedly goes to a friend of an acquaintance, who said (in regard to the ticket prices): "£15? give that to james and tell him to get a fucking haircut." legendary indeed. :-)

You sure they've played every year since 1999?

Posted by: Chris at July 12, 2005 02:08 PM

Well they never played last year.

Posted by: Barry at July 12, 2005 03:52 PM

I thought they played:

1999
2000
2001
2002
2003
2005

I know they didnt do 2004 anyways - the last time they played was 2003, and i'm pretty sure they were first on main stage instead of second on. :)

Definitely played 2000 (Saturday on the unsigned stage), and 2001 (i think they opened/were second on the 2nd stage. which was still a tent at that time)

To be honest, I didn't think the performance was that much cop. Apart from Justboy & 57, naturally. Still, the kids seemed to dig it. Nach.

The best part was the end of justboy - "...light shall break through, bring a bright sky.", just as the clouds broke and the sun shone through onto the stage.

Simon shows his jesus-like powers once again? :P

Why don't my comments show up?!

Is that what you were talking to Farmer about after ycni:milo? haha

Posted by: Barry at July 13, 2005 05:11 PM

In 2003, they played the NME stage when it was situated over near the King Tuts stage.

Ive seen them every time since 2001, and I never went in 2004 so I'm glad they never played :P
