Odyssey, Belfast
Short set as the band support 75% of the Appetite for Destruction era Guns N Roses! In the form of the rather good Velvet Revolver Mmm... spandex-a-licious. :)
Seems to have been quite a good gig and has won over some more fans, despite some boo-ing from some of the (presumably) more narrow minded VR fans...
Glitter and Trauma
Bodies In Flight
My Recovery Injection
New Song (Not sure which one yet!)
Eradicate The Doubt
All The Way Down
57
Nice little set - I'm liking the inclusion of All the Way Down these days - probably my favourite Biffy song, so I'm a little biased... Just trying to see if I can hunt down some photos.
There's some pretty scathing comments on one of NI's music discussion forums about the gig... most of them strike me as pretty ignorant and narrow minded, rather than founded on any real substance. They seem to have picked up on one facet of the performance and have run it into the ground. Still... who gives a fuck what some mulleted-stuck-in-the-80s-hair-metal-fans think?

Some fan-level shots from in the crowd:

Biffy didn't get a chance to really shine that nite cos it was a velvet revolver concert and the crowd consisted mainly of spotty little thirteen year old boys, slutty goths, chavs and then old fat men with mullets. They were booing and everything?! And the venue was massive, biffy are better suited to a small stage. Still were amazin tho. mmwaxxx

steven adler was drumming for guns n' roses in the apetite for destruction era, when they had five members. ergo VR only have 40% of appetite-era GNR (sans izzy stradlin, steven adler and axl rose)
p.s. nice site
