Glasgow have often made the claim to be the best city for gigs in the country. Having seen gigs up and down the country now, I think it's a claim that's generally true.
But this gig gives lie to the fact that Biffy's hometown gigs are the best. Put simply, this was the band on their top form, with an absolutely rabid crowd that sang every word, felt every drumbeat and lived every moment of the performance.
The last time I remember a gig like this was back in Tuts a couple of years ago, and it was the same there - every word sung to the heavens. Sorry, Glasgow, but you're spoiled when it comes to Biffy.
