BIffy Clyro - Live in Your Living Room
The original thing on the biffy news page said:
"How many times have you listened to Biffy in the comfort of your own home...?
Ever imagined the band set up inbetween your tv and coffee table...?
Next week, the band will perform a full electric set, in Glasgow, in one of your homes...
If you think that you or a friend have a room in your house that could accomodate the band, yourself, and around 30 of your friends, family and pets, (and don't have any un-cancellable plans on the 6th or 7th of December...) we're looking to hear from you...
E-mail us your details right now, to neil@biffyclyro.com
Let us know your name, age, the address of the house, and some reasons why you think you could play host to a startlingly unique Biffy show... If it's not your name on the mortgage/lease/deeds, we will also need to clear things with your parents/flatmate/girlfriend, because we don't want to land you in any unwanted trouble (please include these contact details)
We will read all the replies, work things out, and get things underway for the house party with a difference...
Again, neil@biffyclyro.com is the address to email your replies,
we look forward to hearing from you, and hope you can make a decent cup of tea..."
Needless to say, I applied. I've been a huge fan of Biffy for a couple of years, so this was just a dream come true.
Come 6 o'clock on the 6th of December, my buzzer in the flat goes.
"Heylo?"
"Hiya Chris... it's Biffy Clyro."
"Aye aye, very good... mon up."
Door opens, and a begloved Mr Simon Neil enters. Followed by Ben, James, Neil, Dee, a photographer from Kerrang, a journalist from Kerrang, the press woman from Beggars, and various roadies and technical types. Ulp. We sit around for a bit talking to the band and to the journalists, and I look over worriedly as furniture is shifted around with great aplomb. (No pun intended.) I'm pretty sure my face went white as they set up this lot of kit:
The final straw for my rather jangled nerves is when one of the roadies comments... "you know... you should probably open those windows. We're not entirely sure what this level of sound's going to do to them." I hit the bottle, with Mr Beam and his friend Mr Daniels looking entirely attractive, not to mention the multiple cases of beer that the band have brought with them, nice guys that they are. By this point i've phoned everyone I can think of, and it's looking fairly busy, with about 20 people there, plus all the band people mentioned above. As well as my friends, the runners up in the competition are there as well, which is pretty cool.
Finally we get settled down - all the furniture pushed over to the windows and the band set up on the other side. For some reason, I'd assumed they'd play where the TV was - under the windows, but they did the opposite. Made it stick in the head even more!

I remember wee bits and just being in awe. Can you post up the setlist for this again... before we totally forget it altogether.
